 Berea Youth Works (BYW) Student Interest Application

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • Must be between 14 & 26 years of age, we can advise you on how to get your work permit
  • Must be a student of the Berea City School District or enrolled in higher education
  • Must live within the Berea City School District
  • We always pay more than the state minimum wage
  • Berea Youth Works employment makes you eligible for the North End Foundation Scholarship program
  • Flexible hours to accommodate for sports and other important things that we do in life

The idea of the North End Foundation of Berea grew out of brainstorming  between Reverend Leroy McCreary, Pastor emeritus of People’s Community Church & members of his congregation. The conversation centered on how to go outside the church walls to reach the community. The city’s North End consists of the streets named after poets, the St

The idea of the North End Foundation of Berea grew out of brainstorming  between Reverend Leroy McCreary, Pastor emeritus of People’s Community Church & members of his congregation. The conversation centered on how to go outside the church walls to reach the community. The city’s North End consists of the streets named after poets, the St. Adelbert neighborhood, and Pearl Street neighborhood, all located in Berea's Ward 1. The North End Foundation of Berea has been operating since  August 2006.
